ZURICH (Reuters) -UBS is shaking up its wealth-management arm, the bank's flagship business, to boost its offerings to ultra-rich clients, the division's new co-leaders said in their first internal memo sent on Thursday and seen by Reuters. UBS will create a new unit from July 1, named GWM Solutions, to integrate various client offerings, such as investment management, lending, family and institutional wealth management and alternative investments, the memo from Rob Karofsky and Iqbal Khan said. The unit will be led by former Credit Suisse banker Yves-Alain Sommerhalder who will be based in Zurich and New York and report to Karofsky and Khan.

Brent crude futures for August settlement, which expired on Friday, settled up 2 cents at $86.41 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures settled 20 cents lower, or 0.24%, to $81.54.
BEIJING (Reuters) -Apple's smartphone shipments in China rose nearly 40% in May from a year earlier, extending a rebound seen in April, data from a research firm affiliated with the Chinese government showed on Friday. Shipments of foreign-branded phones in China increased by 1.425 million in May to 5.028 million units from 3.603 million a year earlier,calculations based on the data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) showed. Although the data did not explicitly mention Apple, the company is the dominant foreign phone maker in China's smartphone-dominated market.
