Singapore COE prices fall for all but one category

SINGAPORE — Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices fell across the board except for Category A in the latest bidding exercise that closed on Wednesday (5 July).

Prices for Category A – which includes cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp or electric vehicles (EV) up to 110kW – rose to S$97,000 from its previous closing price of S$96,206.

Premiums for Category B – which are used for cars above 1600cc and 130bhp as well as electric vehicles (EVs) higher than 110kW – fell to S$118,002 after previously reaching an all-time high price of S$121,000 in the last bidding exercise.

Commercial vehicle COE prices, or Category C, fell to S$82,223 from S$83,140 set in the previous bidding exercise.

Meanwhile, motorcycle COE premiums, or Category D, dropped from S$10,709 set in the previous tender to S$10,090 in the latest exercise.

In the Open Category, which can be used for any vehicle type except for motorcycles, premiums fell to S$121,000 from S$123,000 set at the close of the last tender.

There were a total of 2,560 bids with a quota supply of 1,845 COEs in the latest bidding exercise.
