COE premium for Cat B hit a new record of S$121,000

SINGAPORE — The Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premium for Category B reached a new high of S$121,000 in the latest bidding exercise which closed on Wednesday (21 June).

COE prices for Category B, which are used for cars above 1600cc and 130bhp, as well as electric vehicles (EVs) higher than 110kW, hit its previous record of S$120,889 on 19 April 2023.

The premium for Category A – which includes cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp, or electric vehicles (EV) up to 110kW – fell to S$96,206 from its previous price of S$98,001.

Meanwhile, the premium for commercial vehicles such as goods vehicles and buses rose to S$83,140 from S$81,801 set in the previous bidding exercise.

The motorcycle COE price fell to S$10,709 from S$11,001 set in the previous tender.

For the Open Category, which can be used for any vehicle type except for motorcycles, prices increased to S$123,000 from S$120,889 set in the previous bidding exercise.

The latest COE bidding exercise received a total of 2,659 bids with a quota supply of 1,807 COEs available.
