SEANA SMITH: Time for "What to Watch" on Friday. We'll get another read on inflation, this time at the wholesale level. The producer price index is at 8:30 AM Eastern time, excluding food and energy economists, expect July prices to climb 2/10 of a percent on a month-over-month basis and up 2.3% from a year ago.

We'll also get the University of Michigan's preliminary reading on consumer sentiment. The index is expected to edge lower after climbing two months in a row. July's print, the highest in nearly two years, was largely attributed to cooling inflation and also a resilient labor market.
