Boston Beer Stock Jumps. Suntory Is in Talks to Buy the Sam Adams Maker, WSJ Reports.
Suntory the Japanese beverage giant best known for its high-end whiskeys, is in talks to buy Sam Adams maker Boston Beer Company, The Wall Street Journal reported. Boston Beer declined to comment on the report. Beer sales in the U.S. fell about 2% to $39 billion from 2020 to 2023, according to data from NielsenIQ.
