    Manchester United plc Announces Further Management Changes

    MANCHESTER, England, April 30, 2024--Manchester United plc (NYSE: MANU), has made two further changes to its executive leadership. By mutual consent, Patrick Stewart, interim Chief Executive Officer, and Cliff Baty, Chief Financial Officer, have decided to leave the club at the end of the season. Patrick will be replaced as CEO by Jean-Claude Blanc until the arrival of Omar Berrada on July 13th. Cliff Baty will be replaced as CFO by Roger Bell.

    Soccer-Late penalty gives relegation-threatened Burnley draw with Man United

    Manchester United could only muster a point against Burnley on Saturday after substitute Zeki Amdouni scored a late penalty to rescue a 1-1 Premier League draw for the relegation-threatened side. Burnley's 87th-minute penalty, awarded after goalkeeper Andre Onana fouled Amdouni in the box, cancelled a late strike by Antony and leaves Erik ten Hag's team sixth in the standings. Burnley are 19th.

Fernandes called for an encouraging environment to help academy graduates Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho flourish, especially as expectations continue to grow at the Premier League side. Argentina international Garnacho, 19, has become a regular starter for United, with 44 appearances this season in all competitions.
