Barrons.comRobinhood Slashes Margin Investing Rates Nearly in Half
Brokerage firm Robinhood Markets unveiled lower interest rates on margin investing, a move the company hopes will accelerate its goal of winning more wallet share from retail investors. The new margin rates range from 5.7% to 6.75% based on a customer’s margin balance, the company said Tuesday. For example, a customer with a $50,000 margin balance will pay 6.75% compared with 12% previously.
