An Indian company tribunal approved the merger of full-service carriers Vistara with larger rival Air India on Thursday, according to an order dated June 6, bringing both Tata group airlines a step closer to completing the deal. The merger, first announced in November 2022, will include Vistara, which is 49% owned by Singapore Airlines being absorbed into Air India, giving Singapore Airlines a 25.1% stake in the merged entity. "A sanction is hereby granted to the 'Composite Scheme of Arrangement' amongst the petitioner companies and their respective shareholders," the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) said in its order.
NASA astronauts Barry "Butch" Wilmore and Sunita "Suni" Williams successfully docked Boeing's [NYSE: BA] Starliner spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS), about 26 hours after launching from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The astronauts monitored Starliner as it autonomously conducted a series of maneuvers to steadily bring the spacecraft closer to the orbiting laboratory before docking.
Boeing Starliner space capsule ran into some trouble docking with the International Space Station. The problem was resolved and the crew is on the ISS as of 1:35 p.m. Eastern time, marking another win for Boeing’s space business. Starliner launched into space on Wednesday and was expected to dock with the space station around noon on Thursday.
