SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Surbana Jurong unveiled its new global headquarters, the Surbana Jurong Campus, in CleanTech Park within the Jurong Innovation District. The facility was officially opened on March 13, with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong in attendance.

The campus spans 1.2 million sq ft in built-up area and can accommodate 4,000 employees and the wider community across 10 towers. The campus is expected to house employees from different entities in Singapore under one roof.

The 10 towers are interconnected by a pedestrian pathway and enclosed courtyards, enabling natural light and fresh air to flow through. The development features amenities like a 1,000-seater multipurpose area, a junior ballroom, rooftop terraces, a team lounge, table tennis, and an upcoming gym facility.

The campus was designed by Surbana Jurong’s architects in collaboration with Safdie Architects to reflect the concept of a “campus in nature.” Previously an undeveloped greenfield site, the campus has been designed to preserve more than half of its existing green space. Built-up green areas were replaced with rooftop gardens, lush interior gardens, and extensive exterior landscaping.

The development has been awarded the Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy and BCA-Health Promotion Board Green Mark Platinum for Healthier Workplaces for its efforts in sustainability and promoting healthier lifestyles. This includes providing end-of-trip facilities, such as onsite bicycle racks and showers.

Sean Chiao, Group CEO of Surbana Jurong, says that the campus serves as a living lab for innovating solutions and pushing the boundaries of sustainable development. “In Surbana Jurong Campus, our diverse talents collaborate to solve our clients’ most complex problems, fulfilling our purpose, Real impact, made together.”
