Looking forward to the new series of The Great British Bake Off? You're not the only one. Series 14 returns with presenter Noel Fielding and his new co-host Alison Hammond, alongside judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, and importantly, 12 passionate amateur bakers.

As we rejoice at the sight of the nation's most famous tent, you'll likely spot tableware from graphic artist and designer Emma J Shipley.

Emma J Shipley's designs have been capturing imaginations since 2012 when her company launched. Whimsical hand-drawn designs inspired by nature and mythical worlds printed in vibrant colours on high quality materials are what she's known for, or shall we say, is her 'signature bake' (to borrow an expression from the TV show).

A myriad of fantastical creatures, from leopard spotted elephants to fantastical unicorn zebras, often feature among exotic foliage and tropical palms.

Perfect for the maximalists among us, Emma's high quality bone china mugs from Stoke-on-Trent and pure linen napkins fuse eclectic design with traditional elements, a combination that makes sense in the Bake Off tent as a place that celebrates baking innovation while paying homage to classic recipes from history.

Emma J Shipley's designs capture everything we love about GBBO, as well as key trends in interior design that are here to stay – maximalism, artisans, innovation and homegrown design at its best.
