With passion and compassion, Sonsray is at the forefront of the business world and community services.

TORRANCE, Calif., June 27, 2024--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sonsray is a growing company constantly shaking the boat and pushing the industry forward rather than just accepting how things are done and following others. Sonsray is more than just a business; it's a family that values people and community. Founder and CEO Matthew Hoelscher believes companies are responsible for giving back, so he started the Force for Good initiative.

One of the core values at Sonsray is People, and the Force for Good initiative embodies that. It encourages employees to take paid days off to volunteer with charity organizations of their choice and positively impact their community. Matthew Hoelscher's first-hand experience helping people build their homes while volunteering at Tiny Homes organization gave him an unforgettable experience that he wants to pay forward.

In 2023, Sonsray employees had an exciting experience as nearly 100 of them participated in the Torrance Beach cleanup by going out to the beach and picking up trash. Matthew Hoelscher felt good about the employees' connection with the community. Sonsray has chosen to make this an annual event and their next company-wide beach cleanup will take place at the end of August at the Long Beach City Beach.

"To see our Sonsray community working together, creating those bonds of connection both with each other and with the local community who appreciated what we were doing, well, that's something pretty great."

- Matthew Hoelscher
Founder & CEO of Sonsray

Sonsray's commitment to being a Force For Good in their community knows no bounds. A group of employees from their Las Vegas store supported a local non-profit organization called Opportunity Village.

Opportunity Village serves individuals in the Southern Nevada community with intellectual disabilities with a mission to enhance their lives, promote independence, and help them achieve their full potential. The organization hosts an annual event, The Magical Forest, to raise funds for their programs and services.

Last year marked the 31st season of The Magical Forest, the Las Vegas team was eager to lend their support. They sponsored a tree and spent hours decorating it with beautiful ornaments that reflected the event's spirit.

Sonsray's partnership with Opportunity Village attests to their belief that a community thrives when all its members are empowered to succeed. They are proud to have been an event sponsor and to have contributed to the success of such a worthy cause.

Last year, Sonsray hosted their annual NorCal and SoCal golf tournaments where all of the proceeds (totaling $15k) were donated to We Move Food, a philanthropic program of the organization Feeding America. Sonsray has partnered with Feeding America and food banks throughout California & Nevada to fight against hunger and food instability.

We Move Food was created to increase access to fresh, healthy food by reducing waste and assisting with nutrition education for families and communities. 49 million Americans struggle to put food on the table and hunger exists in every community across the United States.

Today, the We Move Food program has donated $546,000 to hunger relief organizations which amount to 5.5 million meals provided to those in need.

The Force for Good initiative has participated in several activities, including helping people with spinal injuries, planting trees, providing meals, and building homes. The employees at Sonsray are kind, compassionate, and genuinely good people, and the Force for Good initiative reflects that.
