MOE school fees to increase for permanent residents and international students
The revised fees will increase over the next three years from 2024 to 2026.
SINGAPORE — School fees for permanent residents (PR) and international students attending government and government-aided schools will increase over the next three years from 2024 to 2026.
In an announcement on Wednesday (18 October), the Ministry of Education (MOE) said that the increase is part of its regular review of school fees.
For the next three years, the monthly school fees will increase by S$25 to S$60 for PRs and S$25 to S$140 for international students each year, depending on the education level. Fees are tiered, with non-ASEAN international students incurring higher fees compared to their ASEAN counterparts.
How much is the revised school fees?
The revised fees will take effect from January each year.

The miscellaneous fee, which applies to students of all nationalities, will be merged into a single tier from the current standard and second-tier fees starting 1 January 2024, as announced by the MOE in July 2023.
Meanwhile, school fees for Singapore citizen students attending government and government-aided schools will remain unchanged. Singapore citizen students will continue to be exempt from paying monthly school fees for primary school and pay monthly school fees of S$5 and S$6 for secondary school and pre-university, respectively.
