SDAX launches digital investment platform focusing on real estate and ESG
Real estate as it is the world’s biggest asset class at US$326.5 trillion, according to data by Savills.
SDAX has launched its integrated digital investment and trading platform, offering investors access to curated institutional-grade investments focusing on real estate and environmental, social and governance (ESG).
This follows a $24 million Series B funding round in late 2021 with investors PSA International, Straits Trading Co and New Horizon Global.
SDAX represents the merged entities of digital asset exchange Digiassets Exchange Singapore and fintech company Minterest Holdings.
Leveraging on strategic partnerships with its shareholders PSA, ESR, Straits Trading, RHT Group and other institutional partners, the platform is able to access a large pool of investment opportunities as well as provide access to the institution-grade asset-backed securities.
SDAX CEO Raymond Poh said the platform is focusing on primarily real estate as it is the world’s biggest asset class at US$326.5 trillion, according to data by Savills.
“Investors are discovering new opportunities in digital assets for higher, long-term gains in bull and bear markets. Focusing on real estate, corporate finance and ESG, we offer a curated suite of high-quality investments sought after by institutions, accredited and retail investors,” said Poh.
In the coming weeks, the platform will bring deals involving data center discretionary funds, solar renewable projects, good class bungalows, grade-A office spaces and mid-sized companies.
The platform will also incorporate a risk-based ESG framework for projects that supports the initiative Financing the Transition to a Net-Zero Future.
SDAX is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). The digital investment platform is enabled by primary and secondary market mechanisms regulated by the MAS, with both Capital Markets Services and Recognized Market Operator licenses.
