SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) -  Savills Property Management has named Winnie Wong as its managing director in a Jan 17 press release. She succeeds Chan Kok Hong, who will assume a new role as senior consultant and will continue to offer his expertise to the management team.

Wong has been with Chan Kok Hong Property Consultants since 2003. The firm merged with Savills in 2011 to become Savills Property Management.

“We are hugely grateful for the strong foundation that Chan Kok Hong has built over the years,” says Chris Marriott, CEO of Savills South East Asia. “As he steps away from the day-to-day management, I am pleased to confirm that we can continue to leverage on Chan Kok Hong's knowledge and expertise in his new role as senior consultant.”

Marcus Loo, CEO of Savills Singapore, adds that Wong, who has served as Chan’s deputy for the past two decades, is well-positioned to take over the reins of Savills Property Management.

Savills Property Management also announced the promotion of Tang Chee Charn to deputy managing director. Tang will be responsible for the firm’s expansion into commercial strata and industrial properties.

Loo remarks that Wong and Tang’s appointments will elevate Savills Property Management to a new level. “Winnie’s vision to continue to strengthen our capabilities, build on the strong track record of our residential strata properties portfolio, and Chee Charn’s role in expanding into the commercial and industrial asset classes is very much in-line with the strategy for Savills,” he says.
