Robert Downey Jr to appear in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' as Iron Man

Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, the character played by Robert Downey Jr in the Marvel movies, will make an appearance in "Spider-Man: Homecoming", it was reported by NME.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will open in cinemas in July 2017. Before that, British actor Tom Holland who plays the title role will make his debut in "Captain America: Civil War" (released on April 29). In "Spider-Man", Holland will star alongside Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Tony Revolori, Laura Harrier and actress/singer Zendaya.

Neither the amount of on-screen action that Downey Jr will receive, nor specifics about his plot line, have been revealed as yet.
