Malvern Autumn Show: What’s in store at the famous Worcestershire show?

What's in store at Malvern Autumn Show?Mikal Ludlow Photography

The Malvern Autumn Show will return to the Three Counties Showground in Worcestershire this September – framed by the picturesque Malvern Hills. Held across three days, it promises to be a spectacular celebration of food, the countryside, gardening and nostalgia with a range of craft workshops, shopping pavilions, expert talks and entertainment. Plus, the RHS Floral Marquee will provide an abundant display of autumn colour.

Over 40 of the UK's leading nurseries will display top-quality spring flowering bulbs to buy, as well as rich autumn perennials and an interesting variety of shrubs and trees. There will even be a 'plant creche' service, where visitors can leave their purchases before exploring the rest of the show.

This year’s show will feature a huge harvest pavilion, where growers will present the very best fruit, vegetables, cut flowers and succulents grown in their gardens or allotments. Expert growers will battle it out in the globally-recognised CANNA UK Giant Vegetables Championships – 11 new Guinness World Records were set last year, including the heaviest aubergine and the longest leek, so there is much anticipation for this year’s event.

Experts and famous faces in attendance throughout the three-day event include Adam Frost, Arit Anderson, Nicki Chapman, Jonathan Moseley, John Whaite, and Arthur Parkinson, to name a few.

There's plenty to keep children entertained too, with workshops in willow weaving, circus skills and woodcraft. Displays in jousting, sword fighting and fire eating are also on the agenda, alongside dog agility demonstrations and pig showing competitions.

Elsewhere, in the 'Vintage Village' area, visitors can admire interesting vintage machinery before showing off their moves in the dance tent, where live bands will perform toe-tapping music.

And, for the first time this year, the show will play host to the Great Taste Food and Drink Market, where visitors can enjoy an array of delicious produce from award-winning artisan producers. There will also be over 50 types of perry available to sample. Meanwhile, the all new pop-up Black Pear Bistro will offer a £29.95 two-course lunch menu (pre-booking for this is essential).
