Louis Vuitton Names Megan Grant President and CEO, Americas

Louis Vuitton has named a new president and chief executive officer of Americas.

Megan Grant, who most recently helmed L’Oréal USA’s luxe division, will be taking the top slot, effective June 3. She will report to David Ponzo, executive vice president of commercial activities, according to a memo obtained by WWD, and will be based in New York.

Grant’s previous role included leadership of brands such as Lancôme, Kiehl’s, Ralph Lauren Fragrances and Giorgio Armani’s beauty business, among others.

“Throughout her 22-year tenure with L’Oréal, she held numerous leadership roles in marketing and retail across a multitude of brands within the organization, showcasing her exceptional skills in marketing, retail, customer acquisition, digital strategy and consumer products,” the memo stated. “Megan’s diverse background, paired with her shared values of innovation and excellence, will ensure the continued advancement of Louis Vuitton Americas.”

The memo continued, “She will be responsible for leading and developing the teams to drive performance, further elevate client experiences and grow brand desirability in the Americas.”

L’Oréal’s U.S. division had revealed Grant’s departure with the appointment of Silvia Galfo to the role of president of the luxe division in April.

Grant is inheriting her duties from Lanessa Elrod, who served as zone president, Americas, for the brand for seven years. Grant is the second L’Oréal U.S.A. defection to join LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton in recent years. Stéphane Rinderknech, who served as CEO of L’Oréal’s U.S. division, joined LVMH in 2022 and now oversees the luxury giant’s perfumes and cosmetics division.
