Italy hires banks to sell new 15-yr BTP bond via syndication
MILAN, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Italy's Treasury said on Tuesday it had hired banks to sell a new 15-yr BTP bond.
The bond, due Oct. 1 2039, will be "launched in the near future subject to market conditions," the Treasury said, a phrase debt management offices usually use a day before a sale.
Italy hired Barclays Bank Ireland, BNP Paribas , Citibank Europe, Intesa Sanpaolo and Morgan Stanley Europe SE to manage the sale. (Reporting by Sara Rossi, writing by Alessandro Parodi, editing by Gavin Jones)
