India imposes export duty of 40% on onions, exempts duty on bengal gram imports

(Reuters) - India will impose a 40% export duty on onions from May 4, according to a government notification on Friday.

India has also exempted duty on imports of bengal gram up to March 31, 2025, the notification added.
