SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - In 2022, Huttons Asia saw a 17% growth in its number of agents. The Council for Estate Agencies’ (CEA) public register indicates that the agency saw a net increase of 718 agents last year, going from 4,154 agents as of Jan 1, 2022 to 4,872 agents as of Jan 1 this year. It retains its position as the third-largest agency in Singapore.

In a press release, the agency highlights that it is the fastest-growing agency for a second consecutive year. In 2021, it logged a 29% surge, going from 3,210 agents as of Jan 1, 2021 to 4,154 associates as of Jan 1, 2022.

It adds that several agents from other agencies have opted to join Huttons. “For example, 320 agents from PropNex, 93 from ERA Realty, 44 from OrangeTee & Tie and 22 from SRI moved to Huttons. Huttons recruited 451 new real estate salespersons and returning salespersons who left the industry for less than two years,” it states, citing data pulled from CEA and Data.gov.sg.

Mark Yip, CEO of Huttons Asia, says the agency is ‘on track’ to meet its goal of having 6,000 associates by end-2024. “Achieving the accolade of fastest growing agency for the second consecutive year was not easy given the challenges the economy and property industry were facing,” he remarks.

According to Yip, Huttons will intensify its efforts to deliver an “efficient tech-enabled, data-rich agency, with the very best in-house training and broker support services”. He adds: “Our open sharing culture sets Huttons apart from other agencies. We also emphasise on authenticity and relevancy.”
