Hopper's Cabin from Stranger Things Is Now an Escape Room

It’s probably a good thing that Hawkins, Indiana, is fictional, because let’s be honest, if it were real, who would ever live there? This is one dangerous town: It’s a wonder Joyce Byers didn’t pack up her crew and U-Haul it out of there sooner, what with the Upside Down, mind flayers, demogorgons, and everything else. Not a great environment to raise your children in, Joyce!

Of course, while Hawkins itself might be fantasy, the locations where Netflix's Stranger Things was shot are in fact very real—hello, Starcourt Mall!—and can be visited by fans who venture to the Atlanta area. (Sort of like a quest. Ask Will the Wise, he can explain!)

After you hit up the mall to try to get a peek at the Scoops Ahoy ice cream parlor set, you can now visit the very cabin where heroic police chief Jim Hopper lived with his even more heroic adopted daughter/world-saver, Eleven. The cabin is actually part of Sleepy Hollow Farm in Powder Springs, Georgia, and while it hasn’t been totally trashed in an epic kids-vs-monsters battle, it has been transformed—it’s now an escape room.

That’s right: Sleepy Hollow Farm is home to an adventure theme park of sorts called Escape Woods, and so of course they couldn’t resist turning the real-life Hopper’s cabin into a Stranger Things–themed “escape room adventure” where fans get to “decipher clues, unlock doors, and solve the mystery before time runs out.” (Just remember, for poor Chief Hopper’s sake, to leave El’s bedroom door open three inches!)

The Hopper’s Cabin adventure costs $33 per person, or $309 for a “private experience” group booking (there’s a 10-person maximum). I definitely recommend going the group route—after all, no one in the Stranger Things gang could have saved the day alone. Even Eleven needs a little help from her friends.
