Apply for a BTO Flat (2024)

Before applying for a flat in any BTO project, you must first apply for an HDB Flat Eligibility (HFE) letter. To apply for a BTO flat in the February BTO 2024 launch, you should make sure you have successfully been issued a valid HFE letter. HDB takes up to 21 working days to process applications but may face delays during busy periods such as BTO launch weeks.

Note that first-timer BTO applicants who reject a BTO offer will now be considered second-timer applicants for a whole year. If they go on to reject another BTO offer after a second BTO application, they will be barred from applying for BTO flats in the following year.

HDB scheme Family and Parenthood Priority Scheme (FPPS) has also replaced the Parenthood Priority Scheme (PPS). Under the new scheme, 40% of BTO flats in each sales exercise will be reserved for eligible people falling into a new subset of applicants, the First-Timer (Parents and Couples) category, or FT (PMC).

As an FT (PMC) applicant, if you are unsuccessful in two or more BTO applications in a non-mature estate, you will receive an additional chance in each subsequent BTO application. The rule was designed to assist applicants who have repeatedly failed to successfully apply for a BTO flat.
