Bubble tea chain Gong Cha will be launching a flagship store at SingPost Centre in Paya Lebar, following a brief hiatus from the Singapore market.

Photos posted online by radio station 987FM on Monday (2 October) showed notices put up at the outlet’s storefront that said it would be opening in December. The store is currently undergoing construction.

RTG Holdings, the company which brought Gong Cha to Singapore, converted all its outlets to its own LiHo brand in June after the brand was sold to private equity firm Unison Capital without notifying RTG.

Unison Capital now co-owns the Gong Cha brand with Royal Tea Taiwan, the brand’s founder, which announced in August that it had appointed a new master franchisee here, Gong Cha (Singapore).
