SINGAPORE — A selection of outlets, including supermarkets Giant and Cold Storage, under the DFI Retail Group, are offering a S$6 return voucher for customers who spend a minimum S$60 of CDC vouchers at their branches.

The group announced on Wednesday (13 March) that customers at Giant, Cold Storage, CS Fresh and Jasons Deli will have to spend S$60 CDC vouchers between 14 and 17 March, and 21 and 24 March, to be eligible for the return voucher, which is redeemable with no minimum spend.

The S$6 return voucher can be redeemed only from a day after the date of issuance, and must be redeemed by 9 April 2024.

The return voucher is valid for one-time use and can be used in only a single transaction, per day, per customer. It is to be handed to the cashier at checkout – so it's only redeemable at manned cashier stations in store, and not at self-checkout stations.

The DFI group said the return voucher is not valid for purchases of tobacco and cigarettes, newspaper and magazines, infant milk powder, phone cards, Dairy Farm Gift Vouchers, consumer electronics, lottery and purchases from concessionaires. It's also cannot be used with other vouchers, promotions or discounts.

Previously, supermarket chain Giant had announced that it would absorb the one per cent rate increase in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) for 700 products from 1 January to 30 June 2024.
