Four more Transformers movies coming over next decade

Transformers

Good news for Transformers fans: The high-octane series will continue with four more installments headed for the big screen over the next 10 years.

In a Q and A at entertainment convention Mipcom in Cannes over the weekend, Hasbro chief Stephen Davis confirmed that a team of writers has already plotted out the next installments of the Transformers films, 5 through 8.

The cast of writers include the brains behind films such as "A Beautiful Mind," "Black Hawk Down," "Walking Dead," "Iron Man," "Amazing Spider-Man 2" and "Daredevil," notes Variety.

It was previously confirmed that Akiva Goldsman ("A Beautiful Mind") has been tapped to write the fifth Transformers film.

The franchise will also expand into spinoffs and sequels destined for TV and digital.
