Bourgeois will be based in Paris (in a new office opening this month), building the team in Europe. She will report directly to Nico Bing, cofounder and chief executive officer.

“We are truly excited to welcome Julie to Anine Bing,” Nico said in a statement. “Julie is a highly accomplished executive with exceptional experience in the luxury sector and I look forward to working with her as we continue to drive the great momentum of our business globally.”

Bourgeois formerly held roles in hospitality and fashion. She was most recently responsible for driving retail strategy at the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts as senior vice president and global head of retail, leasing and experiential signature. Previously, she was chief executive officer of North America for Jacadi. She has also had positions at The Peninsula Group, Nespresso, IWC Schaffhausen and has been a consultant for Khaite.

“Julie understands the Anine Bing woman and completely embodies the brand; she has impeccable taste and is an incredible business leader with a proven track record of success. We are delighted to have her join the Anine Bing team,” said cofounder and chief creative officer Anine Bing in a statement.

Bing emerged on the fashion scene as a content creator, and launched the brand in 2012 focusing on tailored, well-crafted basics influenced by her Danish roots and Los Angeles lifestyle. It was in 2015 that the company opened its first store, landing in New York on Bleecker Street. The brand then opened on Third Street in L.A., a location that closed at the end of 2020, before unveiling its 2,400-square-foot L.A. flagship at 8211 Melrose Avenue in December 2022 (with additional shops in the Pacific Palisades and San Francisco).

The company’s retail footprint expanded in 2022 as the brand saw profitable growth, with additional storefronts in the Chelsea neighborhood of London; Austin and Dallas in Texas; Madison Avenue (a relocation) and Brooklyn in New York; Bethesda, Md., and at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Bing most recently opened a second office in the U.S. in New York.
