Le Creuset has launched a brand new colourway as part of its covetable cookware collection, perfect for introducing dopamine-inducing decor to your kitchen.

The comforting hue (also dubbed Le Creuset's Colour of the Season), is called Nectar. Inspired by the captivating sunset glow and reminiscent of swirls of rich honey, this bold yellow hue has a wonderful depth and warmth, and is equally uplifting.

The collection includes a wide selection of cast iron cookware, such as the iconic round casserole and deep skillet. It also features plenty of stoneware, including the brand’s signature dishes and roasters, as well as accessories like salt and pepper mills.

An all-new honey pot – complete with silicone dipper – is available in the colour, alongside spatulas, utensil pots, a traditional kettle and cafetiere.

The French brand – famed for its quality cookware – already boasts an impressive array of colours including ultra violet, cerise, teal and bamboo green. Still, the original fiery orange Volcanic hue remains a firm favourite among customers. The colour was conjured up in 1925 and is still Le Creuset’s signature hue.

'At Le Creuset we’re always looking to grow our rainbow and offer colourways that match not just everyone's home but also their personalities,' says a Le Creuset spokesperson. 'As feel-good interiors are on the rise and homes increasingly become a representation of ourselves, we want to continue to be bold with colour and provide showstopping cookware that allows people to express themselves. Nectar's warm, honey-tone hue will bring a golden glow to homes.'

The first yellow collection was launched in the 1960s and boasted Marilyn Monroe as a fan. In 1999, the late film star's collection was auctioned off at Christies in New York for $25,300.

Le Creuset was created in 1925 by two Belgian industrialists. One was a specialist in enamelling, the other in casting. Together, they worked out how to enamel cast iron – creating colourful and practical cookware. The pair established a foundry in the village of Fresnoy-le-Grand, two hours north of Paris, where Le Creuset cookware is still made today.

Now almost a century old, the French brand is still a staple in kitchens across the world thanks to its colourful and long-lasting products. All of its cookware and bakeware products come with a lifetime guarantee.
