Cricket-themed hospitality chain Sixes coming to London Bridge

Sixes Social Cricket, the cricket-themed ‘competitive socialising’ hospitality chain, is set to open its fourth London venue next week.

It comes as the capital’s batsmen and women have already hit more than 700,000 sixes off of 13 million balls at its existing three London sites. That ratio - better than a six every 19 balls - would put the average Sixes customer up with some of the biggest-hitting batsmen in professional cricket.

The new location will be at London Bridge, in a converted warehouse. It will include four batting nets, a large bar serving signature cocktails and an outdoor terrace

The chain has eight UK venues outside of London, and expanded into the US last year with a site in Dallas.

Calum Mackinnon, co-founder and CEO of Sixes and the former owner of Mac & Wild restaurants, said: “Few London neighborhoods compare to Bermondsey for food, drink and lovers of fun. Bermondsey Street in particular is a bustling home to some of London’s great restaurants and bars.

“We cannot wait to bring Sixes to the area and get the party started.”

The business is also launching Leagues, where teams of 4-6 players compete every Tuesday to be crowned UK champions.

England cricket stars Ben Stokes, Stuart Broad and Jofra Archer are among those who have invested in the chain, via their 4CAST investment group.
