Chemical Industries announces appointment of new CEO

Yeo Sze Chiat will take on the position of CEO with effect from Sep 1

Chemical Industries has announced the appointment of Yeo Sze Chiat as its CEO with effect from Sep 1.

Yeo has more than 20 years of business and operations experience in multinational companies (MNCs) in the chemical industry and has held various regional leadership responsibilities in business management and operations.

His last appointment was as a director of a division of a German-based chemical MNC, responsible for business development project management in Asia-Pacific.

Chng Hee Kok, the interim CEO will remain at Chemical Industries for a “short period of time” to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.

Shares in Chemical Industries closed flat at 74 cents on Aug 23.
