CDL independent director Ong buys 100,000 shares at $5.80 each

Ong did not hold any CDL shares prior to this

Colin Ong Lian Jin, an independent, non-executive director of City Developments, has paid $5.80 to buy 100,000 shares on May 31.

Based on a filing by the property developer to the exchange on June 3, Ong did not hold CDL shares prior to this.

Ong was appointed to CDL's board on Oct 2020 and was last re-elected on April 2022. He is described on CDL's website as the founder of Advisors’ Clique and executive senior director of Great Eastern Financial Advisers.

CDL is one of the five Singapore stocks removed from the MSCI Singapore Index on May 31. The other four stocks are Jardine Cycle & Carriage C07, Seatrium, Mapletree Pan Asia Commercial Trust N2iu and Mapletree Logistics Trust M44u.

CDL shares closed on June 3 at $5.58, down 0.53% for the day and down 15.58% year to date.
