IPO Edge sister platform CorpGov hosted a fireside chat with Phil Denning, Partner and Managing Director of ICR at the 36th Annual Tulane Corporate Law Institute in New Orleans, Louisiana. The in-person interview was joined by Editor-in-Chief John Jannarone and they discussed what makes companies vulnerable to activist attacks – both on the long and short sides.

Mr. Denning emphasized that many short attacks have a very brief impact as investors quickly realize that claims are baseless. But it’s important for companies to identify arguments that may sway investors and be equipped with the right responses.
