Ford Mustang GT vs. BMW M4

  • MSRP: $46,610 vs. $85,935

The Ford Mustang GT packs a fierce 5.0L V8 engine pumping out 450 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. With its advanced infotainment system, active exhaust and sharp handling, the Mustang GT goes head-to-head with Germany’s revered BMW M4.

As car expert Patryk Doornebos explained, “When it comes to raw power and the thrill of driving, the Mustang GT holds its ground against the BMW M4. While the M4 might offer slightly more refined interiors, the Mustang GT brings that iconic American muscle vibe that’s hard to replicate.”

“Both cars cater to the high-performance market,” added John Lin, owner of JB Motor Works.

“The Mustang GT offers a solid V8 engine, 450 horsepower and a stylish interior. Meanwhile, the M4 has a similar notion but with a heavier price tag due to brand prestige.”

Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 vs. Porsche 911 Carrera

  • MSRP: $80,815 vs. $232,050

With its supercharged 5.2L V8 churning out 760 horsepower, racing-inspired chassis components and muscular styling, the Mustang Shelby GT500 can easily keep pace with Porsche’s iconic 911 Carrera on both road and track.

“For pure muscle and performance, the Shelby GT500 is an American icon,” said Blake Shaw, automotive expert at All About Wheels Blog. “It gives European sports cars like the Porsche 911 a run for their money, especially considering the price-to-performance ratio.”

Cadillac CT5-V vs. Mercedes-AMG C43

  • MSRP: $52,390 vs. $61,050

Cadillac’s new CT5-V sedan boasts a 3.0L Twin Turbo V6 producing 360 horsepower, paired with Magnetic Ride Control and Brembo brakes. It also features Super Cruise, Cadillac’s hands-free driver assistance for highway driving.

“Cadillac has truly upped its game with the CT5-V,” said Doornebos. “It offers luxury and performance in a package that challenges the status quo set by European luxury sedans. With its aggressive stance and cutting-edge tech, it’s a contender that deserves a second look.”

Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing vs. BMW M5

  • MSRP: $39,590 vs. $109,895

The new Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing packs a serious punch with its 6.2L supercharged V8 putting out 668 horsepower. Buyers can choose between a 10-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission to optimize the driving experience. Brembo brakes, Magnetic Ride Control suspension and performance tuning equip the CT5-V Blackwing to battle European rivals like the BMW M5.

According to Shaw, “the CT5-V Blackwing brings serious power and performance to the table. It’s got handling and luxury features that make it a solid match for the BMW M5 but at a slightly lower price point.”

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray vs. Audi R8

  • MSRP: $67,895 vs. $161,395

The mid-engine Corvette Stingray takes the fight to six-figure exotics with its 495 horsepower V8, sharp handling and removable roof panel.

Shaw explained, “The Corvette Stingray is a well-rounded sports car that offers impressive performance and a mid-engine layout, typically seen in much more expensive European models like the Audi R8.”

Chevrolet Equinox vs. Audi Q5

  • MSRP: $29,095 vs. $53,495

The Chevy Equinox compact SUV delivers plenty of power and tech for thousands less than the Audi Q5. As Lin described, “Equinox packs plenty of power with an adequate fuel economy. The Audi Q5 has higher-end materials, but the Equinox offers an exceptional tech and safety feature package for half the price.”

Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit vs. Land Rover Range Rover Sport

  • MSRP: $50,025 vs. $91,475

Jeep’s luxurious Grand Cherokee Summit trim offers robust V6 and V8 engines, air suspension and a plush interior full of premium materials.

“For those who crave off-road prowess without skimping on luxury, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit is a worthy adversary to the Range Rover Sport, especially when considering value for money,” said Shaw.
