Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Summer vacationers can expect to spend around $147 per day on a trip to the Dominican Republic, according to Budget Your Trip, and a one-week trip for two to this tropical destination costs, on average, $2,064 and includes accommodation, food, local transportation and sightseeing.

Martinique

If you have a slightly bigger budget for your summer vacation and want an international beach experience that costs far less than many others, check out the island of Martinique, located in the Lesser Antilles of the West Indies, in the eastern Caribbean Sea. In addition to gorgeous coasts, you’ll find incredible volcanoes, amazing historical sites and a strong sense of charming romance.

According to Budget Your Trip, you should plan to spend around $179 per day here. If eyeing a one-week trip for two, set aside around $2,500 — not too bad for a Caribbean getaway.

Ocean City, Maryland

It’s all in the name! Ocean City, Maryland boasts not only an epic coastline, it has an amazing culinary scene (hello, farm-to-table) and no shortage of adrenalizing water activities.

According to Budget Your Trip, travelers should plan to spend in the ballpark of $160 per day; set aside $2,245 for a one-week stay for two.

Nags Head, North Carolina

Well, it doesn’t have the most idyllic name, that’s for sure, but Nags Head, North Carolina can actually be a pretty idyllic place. There are stunning oceanfront hotels, tons of fresh seafood and towering sand dunes.

If planning a vacation here, set a daily budget of around $149 per day, according to Budget Your Trip, which also notes that a one-week trip to Nags Head for two people costs, on average, $2,084.

Beaufort, South Carolina

When you’re imagining gorgeous beaches and exciting water activities, South Carolina may not exactly leap to the forefront of your mind. But it should — if you’re looking for affordable fun in the sun. Consider Beaufort, in particular.

This historic city on Port Royal Island. Not only will you find balmy beaches, you’ll get a strong dose of Southern lovin’ and discover breathtaking natural scenery beyond sandy coastlines. Plan to spend around $131 per day here, or $1,838 a week for two, according to Budget Your Trip.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Craving a beachy getaway that is rich with Mexican heritage, culture and food? Check out Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. You’ll be surrounded by lush palm trees and enjoy a small-town, welcoming vibe.

If you’re eyeing a vacation to this magnificent city, expect to dish out around $114 per day, according to Budget Your Trip. A one-week trip for two will set you back, on average, $1,600.
