He said, “Congress leaders Nana Patole and Balasaheb Thorat had met Devendra Fadnavis, requesting that this poll should happen unopposed as per Maharashtra's tradition. So, as per our core committee's decision, I withdrew my nomination from upcoming Rajya Sabha by-poll.”
