Large Crowds Seen in Manchester Following Easing of Lockdown Restrictions

Large crowds were seen in central Manchester, England, on April 12 as shops, pubs with beer gardens, and other non-essential UK businesses opened with the easing of coronavirus restrictions.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that April 10 had been a “record-breaking day,” with 475,230 second doses of the coronavirus vaccine administered.

By April 11, more than 32 million people had received their first dose of the vaccine, while almost 7.5 million had received their second, government figures showed.
