India Wants to Create Own Alibaba, Google: MobiKwik CEO

Aug.07 -- Bipin Preet Singh, founder and chief executive officer of MobiKwik, an Indian digital-payment company, talks about U.S. President Donald Trump's signing of a pair of executive orders prohibiting residents from doing business with the Chinese-owned TikTok and WeChat apps beginning 45 days from now, and the implications for India's technology companies. India last month banned 59 Chinese apps in the country, including TikTok, a dramatic policy shift aimed at improving local control and data security, and Indian businesses leaders are urging the government to go even further. Singh speaks on "Bloomberg Markets: Asia."
