'I Got Scared': Bear Charges at Biker on British Columbia Trail

A bear charged at a biker on a trail in Kamloops, British Columbia, on June 7, nearly causing a collision.

Philippe Schlesser’s GoPro captured a bear running alongside the bike trail. Moments later, a bear runs towards Schlesser, almost colliding with his bike.

Schlesser told Storyful that he made clicking sounds with his mouth to “deter any wildlife like deer, bears”.

“Looking at the footage later on, I noticed that the bear was running in parallel with my direction. I got scared, the bear got scared, and we both went our ways,” Schlesser said. Credit: Philippe Schlesser via Storyful
