GameStop surges, Wall Street eyes inflation data: Yahoo Finance

Shares of GameStop (GME) are surging this morning after Roaring Kitty, the trader famously connected to the meme stock craze, posted on social media for the first time in nearly three years. A busy week on Wall Street kicks off following the Dow's (^DJI) best week of 2024. Investors will be keyed in on the April reading of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), due before Wednesday's opening bell. We will also get the latest reading on retail sales on Wednesday. Several top names in the sector report this week, including Walmart (WMT), Alibaba (BABA), Home Depot (HD), and Under Armour (UAA).
