Firefighters Battle Blazes Across Several Turkish Provinces

Thousands of personnel were battling deadly wildfires in the Turkish provinces of Antalya, Mersin, Osmaniye, Adana, Kahramanmaras, Mugla, Kirikkale, and Kayseri on July 30, reports said.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said 57 wildfires were under control by Friday.

Footage shared on Twitter shows a firefighting helicopter in Icmeler on July 30.

At least four people were killed and dozens were hospitalized, reports said. Investigations were underway to determine the causes of the fires, officials said. More than 100 buildings were damaged or destroyed, local media reported. Credit: @nearbygu via Storyful
