American Express CEO: Buffett’s investment ‘like a Good Housekeeping seal of approval’

Yahoo Finance's Brian Sozzi discusses what American Express CEO Stephen Squeri had to say about the credit card company's largest shareholder, Berkshire Hathaway's Warren Buffett.

Video transcript

BRIAN SOZZI: All right, let's do a little quote of the day to kick off this week. Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has long been the top shareholder in American Express. The Oracle of Omaha owns about 20.3% of the credit-card giant.

Here's what AmEx CEO Stephen Squeri recently told me about Buffett. Quote, "It's sort of like a 'Good Housekeeping' seal of approval. Warren and Berkshire are iconic investors, and to have-- to have him speak about the brand and speak about the company and to speak about the direction that we're going so enthusiastically is important."
