The boss of Unilever publicly called for “evil” plastic sachets to be phased out while the company privately lobbied against banning them, it has been revealed.
The cannabis market will be worth nearly $200 billion by 2028, according to estimates from Fortune Business Insights. Three companies that have exposure to the industry are retailer Alimentation Couche-Tard (OTC: ANCT.F), Unilever (NYSE: UL), and Colgate-Palmolive (NYSE: CL). One retailer that's eager to sell pot in its stores is Alimentation Couche-Tard, the company behind the popular Circle K convenience stores.
Unilever is being sued by a US investor over claims it hid a boycott of Israel by its Ben & Jerry’s ice cream brand that wiped billions of US dollars off its stock market value.
