    Insurer Just Group says has no direct investment exposure to Russia

    Insurer Just Group has no direct exposure to Russia in its 20 billion pound ($26.32 billion) investment portfolio though it has 200 million pounds in indirect investments, its chief financial officer said on Thursday. Just Group is invested in the debt of corporate issuers outside Russia which derive more than 10% of their revenue from Russia, Andy Parsons told Reuters. Just Group is not planning to make changes to that exposure as a result of the Ukraine crisis, Parsons said.

    Just Group sells lifetime mortgages to Rothesay Life for $933 million

    British life insurer Just Group has sold a portfolio of lifetime mortgages to fellow British insurer Rothesay Life for 687 million pounds ($932.88 million), Just Group said on Tuesday. The portfolio has an accounting value of 772 million pounds and outstanding loan balance of 537 million pounds at Dec 31 2021. Just Group, which has been bolstering its capital position, said this was its third sale of lifetime mortgage portfolios in the past 15 months and completed its programme of such sales.

    Just Group shares leap as 2021 retirement income sales rise 25%

    LONDON (Reuters) -British insurer Just Group's retirement income sales and new business profits both grew last year, it said in a full-year trading update for 2021 on Tuesday, sending its shares soaring. Just Group specialises in annuities paying a fixed income to pensioners with reduced life expectancies. The company said income from retirement sales jumped 25% to 2.7 billion pounds ($3.68 billion) last year, while new business profits grew by a "low double digit" percentage.
