("Emera") (TSX:EMA) today announced the previously announced transaction where KKR would acquire Emera’s indirect minority equity interest in the Labrador Island Link (LIL), has closed effective today. The LIL is a 1,100 km high voltage transmission line that delivers renewable energy to Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and beyond, helping meet the growing demand for clean energy across the region. The transaction was originally announced on May 28, 2024.
