Most of the movies that Disney will be releasing theatrically this month come from 20th Century Studios, which it acquired two years ago. There are some potential winners in that lot including The King's Man and Guillermo del Toro's Nightmare Alley, but the one to watch is West Side Story.

DIS is now back to the same price in July 2019 or more than 2 years ago, while the S&P 500 is up 54% since then.

Surprised to see how many people hate this company. Annoyed by their over-the-top attempts to be inclusive, their cancel-policy to remove hate, and their pro-mask / vaccination culture.

Boy, you might not like Disney as an investment, but they seem to be on the right side of change and the promotion of physical and mental health. With ESPN, kid-friendly content, parks, movies, etc., I just don't see how Disney is the bad guy.

Who is selling? Is this a retail or institutional fueled selloff?

There was a ton of trading volume this morning and the stock popped $3.00+. Now the volume has disappeared and the stock sinks.

What happened here? Fed gave news we all knew at the worst time possible. They cannot say anything else we don't already know. We will get a boost. We will get another slump once Omnicron is first diagnosed in the USA. When this happens remember, we all knew this was coming. Everyone knows it is coming and will cause a small skid like today.

Once that happens, and Omnicron has been accepted as here and now, December - January will be the promised land! Big bump with a nice Santa Clause rally, shedding all this FUD everyone already knew was coming.

Don't sell good companies because everyone else panics.
In January - May we will be so glad we held!

$MTTR trading at 60x price to sales now as $TDOC $DKNG are under 10x. Please stop believing the multiples are too high for growth myth. Its just hedge funds destroying $ARKK and Cathie as much as they can. These stocks are algo traded. All in the same bucket. Notice how $DIS is red every day since she bought and also at a 52 week low? Are you paying attention yet?

Current Disney mgmt is lost. They no longer understand "it's all about the mouse". Now it's all about money and ideology. People have seen this and other than the theme parks have turned away.

To all who think this is going up! Wait and see, all your investments made during the dips will feel very expensive. The new strain will not let Disney function to full capacity anytime soon

Fact: Disney+ provides 4,500 hours of content vs Netflix 40,000. The lack of content is why subscribership is slowing. Disney's woes are far deeper than just 1 or 2 bad quarters.

Keeps dropping. Honestly, anyone buying in under $150 is getting a great deal long-term. Short-term it may drop some more.

From QuiverTrees App: “It’s helpful to breakdown to Disney into its revenue segments when thinking about the company. Linear Networks (ABC, ESPN, Disney channel etc.), Disney Parks and Experiences (Theme Parks), Direct to Consumer (thinks Disney+ and ESPN+, HULU).” $DIS #quivertreesapp

Encanto to win the weekend box office by far; Disney+ projected 20 million users by now when released not 120 million; the parks are at capacity - even if reduced for now. The magic is not out of this brand.

Market Makers do what they what when they want. We can speculate all we want, but we all really know technicals, fundementals, etc.. really don't mean anything. Its all about what the Big Money wants when they want it and we are all here trying ride the waves.

China’s Global Times, a state-controlled publication, asserted this week that Hollywood will destroy itself as it continues to embrace “political correctness” with an increasingly lunatic fervor.

The outlet also noted that embracing wokeness hasn’t helped movies at the box office, citing The Eternals, which features a gay kiss.

I read an article about Disney's dividends making a comeback in December, is that still true or are they no longer providing dividends?

....in its fiscal fourth quarter (ended Oct. 2, 2021), Disney+ added just 2.1 million new subscribers,
the lowest number of quarterly additions since its debut...

why subscribe if there is nothing to watch ...
the disney offer is very narrow. I personally watch more everyday on YouTube & Netflix
