Asking a genuine question--can someone explain how CRM is so pricey (PE near 100) yet analysts put price targets of $300+ on it? It seems like the market is trying to correct this stock down to a proper P/E valuation, yet analyst price targets are super high. Can someone help out? I'm only a bit over a year investing. Just trying to learn why these seem to be in direct conflict.

Of all the stock advice services I have used, I find ( to be one of the absolute best! Their advice is well researched, helpful, and up to date. I don’t know how I ever went about day trading without reading their newsletter first!

Update on sales force. Quarter 3 earnings all beat the consensus. Analyst forecasted an EPS of 0.92. the earnings crushed that forecast by 35 cents (1.27 EPS) . The stock may correct for a bit due to overall conditions of the market(omicron) and their guidance for quarter 4 is not that attractive since they're only predicting an EPS of 0.72(2021 q4 was 1.27). Overall the annual fy2022 is looking to be a good year for the company. The Revenue is forecasted to be 26.40 billion for 2022, up from 2021's revenue of of 21.25 billion, up 24% Year Over-Year and Raises FY22 Operating Cash Flow Growth Guidance to Approximately 18% to 19% Growth Year Over-Year. If you guys want to read more about the financials I will link it here in the comments Have a good evening everyone!

total overreaction. actually great earning report!

All beats and raised guidance. In the short term, the market will do what it will do. In the long term, the winners always rise to the top.

CRM lowballs revenues then beats regularly by 20-30% - so now they come out with an estimate a few cents below the “analysts” and the stock gets crushed - really ? Wall Street just collecting cheap shares.
  • A
Literally the ONLY reason it’s down so much is lowered q4 EPS guidance. Unhealthy market with a lot of unhealthy investors, but if they give you a buying opportunity, take it…

Smashed earnings, raised guidance for FY2022. AH doesn't matter, this is going up tomorrow during market hours.

CRM will settle in above $400
by the end of Q1 2022-
Price targets range from high $200’s to $450.
The current price is a great entry point to start a long position
This is a stock you buy and hold, not paying too much attention to the daily market grind, knowing full well that it’s going to pay off in the long term.
Patience and doing your DD, is key-

Salesforce price target raised to $360 from $325 at Jefferies , BUY
Jefferies analyst Brent Thill raised the firm's price target on Salesforce to $360 from $325 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares following a survey of over 40 partners that he called "the most positive survey in the past eight quarters." In his survey, 83% of respondents noted that their pipelines had improved, while 55% said that their pipelines had improved by more than 5%, noted Thill. Sentiment on Salesforce has improved since the investor day in late September and he believes the set up heading into the company's fiscal Q3 report is attractive due to easy comparisons for billings and CRPO combined with his robust demand checks. Thill tells investors.

Salesforce raised its full-year expectations, just as it did in its first-quarter and second-quarter reports; management now expects full-year revenue of $26.39 billion to $26.4 billion and adjusted earnings of $4.68 to $4.69 a share, after projecting earnings of $4.36 to $4.38 a share on sales of $26.25 billion to $26.35 billion three months prior.

Next year’s rev guidance below consensus not to mention Q4.
  • s
Overreaction. Should settle around 275-280 and consolidate before moving higher. Everyone and their mother knows CRM always lowballs next quarter guidance lol
