Car-rental prices are sliding, despite major companies in the space forecasting an improvement. The data goes against the forecasts of major car-rental companies, which said with first-quarter results that pricing trends had improved late in the quarter. Hertz said it expected sequential improvements in prices in March to continue into April, while Avis Budget Group said it had seen positive signs on future pricing.
