To all: Shareholders are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service for [Affirm], which will be held at your broker on 18 months from now, beginning at [9:30]. A graveside service will be held immediately after—Upgrade goes public, but he wants to make sure the company is IPO-ready in the next 18 months.
"We clearly have the size," he said. "We're growing very, very fast. We've been profitable now for more than a year, which is rare for a company that is growing that fast."

Continuous influx of funds and 2x the average volume should be enough indication of an upward trend! Shorts need to give up..

Crypto is slowly penetrating into the globe. Gov't slowly accepting it with regulation, $COIN Coinbase brought it mainstream, asset managers all figuring out how to service their clients. I'm not a fan of investing in crypto, but if crypto continues to penetrate, Affirm, who recently announced it will support crypto payments and investments on its app, stands FIRST in line to make crypto payments mainstream for retail shopping - why? because they are directly integrated with the largest retailers in the US - Amazon, Walmart, Target, Shopify, Peloton ETC.

Affirm operates in an industry where there are no barriers to entry; also, the company has no competitive advantage!!

Upgrade's product will be different to those offered by firms like Klarna, Affirm and Afterpay. Instead of adding a checkout option on merchants' websites, Upgrade will lump a user's card purchases together and invoice them what they owe over a four-month period.
"What we like about embedding the product into a card is the broader acceptance," Laplanche told CNBC. "BNPL often relies on partnerships with merchants."

Went to Walmart web site and added a furniture item to the cart. Affirm is clearly displayed as a payment option! Very nice.

@extradebabay2008. If you are so worried about this model than don't buy . Please keep shorting. Why are you trying to be the saviour when you are making money trying to short and therefore are guilty of exactly what you are accusing AFRM off being/doing ?
