Finally! England fans erupt in joy as Three Lions win first EVER World Cup penalty shootout

Celebrations spread across England after the nation’s Three Lions secured a dramatic win over Colombia with a penalty shootout.

England’s graduation to the last eight of the tournament saw fans go wild in Moscow and back at home across the country.

The team has received a congratulations from the Duke of Cambridge, with a tweet from Kensington Palace saying: “I couldn’t be prouder of @england – a victory in a penalty shootout! You have well and truly earned your place in the final eight of the #worldcup? ?and you should know the whole country is right behind you for Saturday! Come on England! W.”

England will now face Sweden in the quarter finals on Saturday, with fans hoping they’ll get one step closer to bringing the World Cup home.
