12 TV Shows to Watch If You Love 'Killing Eve'
Part of the appeal of Killing Eve, the acclaimed BBC America series starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, is that it feels unlike anything that's come before. With its mixture of thrilling spy drama, psychopathy, and—perhaps most irresistible of all—a beguiling sexual tension between its two leading women, Killing Eve has certainly carved out a niche. But with only one season left, it's time to find a worthy substitute. Here, 12 shows that'll do more than help the time pass until Killing Eve season four comes along.

1) Fleabag

If mystery and intrigue are what you're after, Fleabag is not the answer. But the show shares a creator with Killing Eve (who also stars as the titular "Fleabag"), and it's infused with all the dark humor and idiosyncratic women you could ask for.

2) Broadchurch

A small town true-crime series at its best, Broadchurch uses the intrigue of a murder mystery to set up a series of compelling character studies. It also happens to feature a stunning performance by Olivia Colman (best known for playing Queen Anne in The Favourite, and the dotty speech she gave while accepting the Oscar for it).

Fans are split on the ending of this compelling six-episode series, but the lure of the central whodunnit—not to mention the explosive chemistry between its leading duo—make Bodyguard worth a watch regardless.

5) Barry

Like Villanelle, Barry is an assassin. But he's not as into the job.
So begins Barry (Bill Hader)'s journey into Los Angeles's acting scene, an unexpected—and wildly entertaining—sort of mid-life crisis for a hitman. Hader co-created and stars in the series, which features some of the blackest humor we've seen in years.

6) The Night Manager

Based on the John le Carré novel of the same name, and featuring an all star cast—Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, and Olivia Colman, just to name a few—The Night Manager exceeded expectations with its gripping first season. A second is reportedly in development, but the creative team is taking their time.

Orange Is the New Black may not have the intrigue of an international spy drama, but it has more than enough sexual tension and character study to make up for it.

9) Jessica Jones

Come for the kick-ass heroine, stay for the thoughtful exploration of trauma and its enduring effects. Jessica Jones delivers all the high-stakes fight scenes expected of a Marvel show, but also manages to touch on something deeper.
