Oymyakon is the world's coldest village - so cold, in fact, that ink freezes in pen, batteries lose power and eyelashes freeze stiff!
The average January temperature in the remote Siberian village is -50°C, so it's definitely not for the faint-hearted. Some 500 people live in Oymyakon, which used to be a temporary settlement area for reindeer herders in the 1920s and 1930s, Mail Online reports.
